WoW is patching, the floor installers are downstairs and I can't sew anymore without cutting fabric so I'm stuck surfing the interwebs and uploading screenshots. LOL Lucky you!

Minfernal hell
This is what Shatter Scar Vale looked like on Llane just before server reset. 7 other characters on the ground and another dozen or so in the air. FML and the Minfernal.

Where'd I go?
A bug after a cut scene made me disappear for a while. I'm on the mount. Really, I am.

I couldn't find a list of all the unique battle pets by zone for WoW, so I made one. You're welcome. Pets are by zone, working North to South across continents. This list does not include quested or dropped pets, just battle pets. If a zone doesn't have any unique pets, it's not included.

Meet Bamboowolffe, my little panda hunter:

I've decided that her pets will either be orange, or named mobs in the world. My favorite hunting companion is Banrai, a Tiger I tamed before leaving Wandering Isles:

Boros, a wasp I stumbled on in Hillsbrad (screenie taken pre-rename, but I'm keeping their original in game names):

And Gargantapid, who I didn't really care for as far as a pet is concerned but the name makes me giggle so I grabbed her anyway:

Also came across this buggy, levitating seagull in Tanaris near the pirate cove:

Eeee!

Meet Gronk, Wolffetracks' new Tyranosaurus Rex Devilsaur. I wanted to name him "Rawr means I <3 U" but it wouldn't let me. "Bigheadittyarms" didn't fit either. Jake came up with Gronk.

And my new Celestial Steed and Winged Guardian mounts:

In other pet related news, I'm getting frustrated because every time I go to a zone specifically to get a pet I can't find a spawn. Jade Oozeling, and both the onyxian whelpling and the raptor hatchling in Dustwallow Marsh. I've camped for them for an hour each and no dice. :(

This is Wolffe, my technicolor Troll Druid. I kind of love her. She dinged 40 last night. I'm giving her a rest a bit to level a Dwarf Hunter. I'm still not 100% down with playing a Horde character. Some of the story lines are excellent, and some are just sad. I swear I wanted to throw the computer across the room after I chose Horde for a Panda Hunter I have and went through that whole Hellscream deal. I hate him so much.

The game has gotten so incredibly big, and I want all the things. Tracks has become my farmer. She finally got the Wintersaber Mount that I started working on back in BC I think. Now she's doing Darkmoon Faire. After that I'll send her for the Netherwing dragon. Maybe.

It's like the digital equivalent of ADD. Go here! No here! No there! Still fun, and still a horrible time suck. I'm going to have to get some balance with all that soon.

OMG you guys, Jake says something that makes me LMAO every time we play WoW. I forget most of them before I have a chance to write them down, which is a damn shame because seriously funny stuff comes out of his mouth.

We were killing the wraiths for that the ancestors are mad quest in Gilneas (he plays a Worgen Druid) and he looks at me and says, "look Mom! It's ghost poop!" You know those little glowing balls they leave behind when they die? Ghost poop.

His absolute favorite quests are the ones where you get to control the machines. I'm going to have to level a Worgen to 7 and just leave it on the shore with Two if by Sea so he can play with the catapults. Anyway, we get to the quest where you have to bomb the forsaken machines using the bat and he FREAKS OUT. "Don't break the catapults Mommy!" I tried explaining that only the bad guys could use them but he was having none of it.

During the Glaive throwing quest, he was playing by himself and accidentally got out of the Glaive. So he died. Then he got scared because of the "ghost kitty". Take a look at the ghost icon the next time you die. He said that was a ghost kitty and he DID NOT LIKE IT. Haha I had to promise not to let him die again so the bad ghost kitty wouldn't come back.

I'm having entirely too much fun in game. I'd forgotten how much fun it could be, but also what a time sink it is. I feel guilty almost the whole time I'm playing because I should be doing so many other things. :/

I did it.

I renewed my WoW account. I'm only going to keep it active for a month. Maybe two.

One of the things I really wanted to do was go onto Sen'jin and get control of Nefarious Pajama Squad, but it looks like it's gone. None of my characters are guilded and I can't find the guild on the armory so that's that I guess.

So far Jake has had more fun playing a druid. Or watching me play and turning him into a cat and a bear and back again. LOL The other players probably think I'm schizophrenic. And we keep getting guild invites, which is annoying. His characters are on Duskwood? Madoran? I can't remember.

I have a couple of new characters I'm kicking around. Wolffesfurry is on Llane and Wolffebamboo is on Blades Edge.

Tracks is still in Dalaran with bags full of stuff I don't recognize. Where's the best place for me to go and level her? She's 70 at present. She's on Azjol-Nerub where I don't think anyone I know still playing is so it'll be a solo thing. Bonus points if I get to see new content. I haven't really played her since BC and although I chose her talents I have no idea if what I chose is good or crap. Anyway it'll be fun to play her for a bit again.

Jake "ran away from home" yesterday. He said he was going away, so I told him to stay on the sidewalk. He said okay, then made it in front of the neighbor's house before sitting down on the sidewalk to pout. LOL He's been... a rather difficult child lately. I'm trying to be patient while we both figure out a way to deal with his newfound propensity to whine and cry as a default reaction to anything he doesn't like. Ugh.

Also, school is out today for the election and it's raining. So my brilliant plan to take the boys to the park after voting and get them thoroughly exhausted is out. I'm contemplating risking a trip to Catch Air - one of those indoor play places with bouncy things and obstacle houses and such. But I really hate it and I'm guessing it's going to be crowded as all get out. Maybe I can do a drive by and see if it's crowded without the boys noticing? Bwahahahaha.

I'm downloading WoW onto Jason's computer. My little laptop can no longer handle it. I've got a free account so I can explore the new panda areas. I'm thinking about activating my real account for one month after all of my Bewhiskered customs are taken care of. I'm already closing customs for most of the holidays and all of January, so adding WoW to my break might be nice. But I have a ton of other stuff I want to get done, plus Erik's 2nd birthday party to plan so I dunno.
wolffe: (we need counseling)
I'm ... getting ridiculously excited about having 20 hunter pets (TWENTY!!!) and all the new skins and such they have. I've spent more time on Petopia than I have in the game probably. And there's the problem. I have NO time to play. Even when I want to play I don't. Like last night. I told myself I'd get up after getting Jake to sleep and play. Then I woke up, still in Jake's bed, at midnight when Erik woke up crying. sigh.

I'm having a great time with the Gilneas storyline though. And for shits and giggles I logged on to Tracks. Found myself somewhere I've never been, mounted and falling through space. Went splat. All my gear is red and I'm hearthed to Dalaran, also a place I don't recall ever being. I have a crap ton of gem things in my inventory that are apparently unrelated to any quests I have. LOL At least I still have Herman.

Anyway, I'll have fun playing until my month of paid time runs out. Then maybe it won't be 3 more years before I get to play again because although starting all over is fun, it's also a pain in the neck not to be able to jump on a high level char and explore.

So I was in Target the other day and noticed they had Cataclysm on sale for $20. I bought it. I haven't done anything with my account since Nov. of last year when I upgraded to WotLK. I never played it, and saw none of the WotLK content before Cata came out.

I updated my account and went ahead and bought a month of game time just so I could make a Worgen and mess around. Had to jump through hoops to get my account reactivated after "suspicious activity" had Blizzard suspend me. All my characters appear to be present and accounted for, but I thought Tracks was higher than 70. I guess not.

Anyway, Jake wanted to see the game so I created a Worgen for him on Duskwood. Played for about an hour until it was his bedtime. The game is awfully laggy in parts because I'm still downloading an update. When that's done I'll go back in and mess around on Bronzebeard.

I'm not going to play for long I don't think. I paid for a month so I'll mess around here and there, but I don't need another time suck. I spend too much time online (and not enough time sewing) as it is. Maybe after Jake and Erik are both in school and I have time to kill, but right now I just don't have the time.

But it's fun again. :D I made Jake a druid, but I'm going to (naturally) make myself a hunter. We'll see how that goes. I might log on to Tracks just to see, but it's like learning a whole new game and I'd like to get my footing a bit better before doing that.

Also, I dislike the female Worgen form, but not enough to play a male one.

After crawling out of his crib Friday night giving me nightmares of him falling and breaking his neck, I put the toddler rails on Jake's bed yesterday. He ended up sleeping with me last night. I couldn't keep him in the bed. I hope he gets over the newness of it quickly. I think the medicine he took last night had him a bit wired too. I'll try giving it to him earlier tonight.

We also drastically cut back the wall O boxwoods in front of the house. I'd have liked them to go even lower, but Jason was pooped so he stopped. Then Dad called and said some cows had gotten out and he thinks there's a tree down so he needed the chainsaw back. Still it looks much better.

Had quite a scare with Tiger yesterday morning. Jason said that he couldn't walk when he took him out in the morning. He wasn't using one of his back legs properly, and was pretty much walking on his nails. By the afternoon he was fine so I guess it was asleep or something. Still, it pointed out just how little time we have left with him. He hasn't been doing all that great lately, and I know it won't be long before we have to make the hard decision. I want to get new pictures of all the furkids, but I'm waiting on the new-to-me camera*. Which I am OMG EXCITED about.

I have a $50 amazon gift certificate from Mypoints.com and I can't decide whether to buy the Farscape megaset or a lens for my new-to-me camera. I also have an email from Blizzard sitting in my inbox for a free 10 days of WotLK and I can't decide whether to use it or just wait for Cataclysm to come out.

*I'm getting [livejournal.com profile] ameryn's Canon 20d since she's upgraded to the 50d. *SQUEE* Expect an annoying amount of photos after it gets here.
