So we watched the first round of the WKC competition tonight. I like the Hounds and the Herding groups, but the Terriers are my favorite. (And why the Rough Collie or really any of the other dogs didn't win the Herding group is beyond me, but Yay Wolfhound! The Wolfhound is one of those dogs that I love the thought of owning, but probably never will.)

I'm not close to getting another dog. I miss having a dog, but I don't miss a lot about having another dog if that makes sense. We decided that what we need is to borrow someone's dog for a few hours. But also that Pilsbury makes up for a lot of the canine traits we miss. LOL

I'm pretty sure that just like all of my animals, a dog will come into my life on its own time and probably at the worst possible time for me to have another dog.

A friend of mine owns 3 Irish wolfhounds and holy hell, ONE is a lot of dog. But they're fantasticly sweet creatures. Dria climbed all over Lenore back when she (dria, not lenore) was about 6 months old. And Lenore just lay there and wagged her tail. We stupidly did not bring a camera, so do not have photographic evidence of this. BAH!

We do have a video somewhere of Peppo (another wolfhound) playing mommy to a couple of baby raccoons...

Yeah, they're stupid big, but that's why I like them. :) I've always been a big dog fan.
