It doesn't suck
Apr. 3rd, 2013 01:58 pmMy vacuum, that is. Which does suck. It's not picking anything up. I actually brought the Roomba upstairs and set it loose in our room and it did a better job than our upright.
I'm not sure whether I should take it to a repair shop or just get a new one. We've had it for about 8 years. I've cleaned it out, replaced the filters and checked the hose but it's still not doing well. I have no idea how much it costs to repair or tune up a vacuum cleaner.
I would just use the Roomba, but it's a pain in the ass to clean the thing. Like, it takes almost as long to clean the brushes as it would for me to just vacuum myself. It's much better suited to hard surfaces. It did a good job, but long hair and carpet fibers just get wrapped around the brush.
It's always something, isn't it?
