*sigh* That's the dream. Unfortunately boarding rates in and around Atlanta are quite beyond the pale. Like $350/mo. for pasture board with NO amenities. Jason and I are talking about becoming land owners, and we want to save for that but it's hard with two kids, a house and only one (albeit very nice) income. My goal is to ramp up Bewhiskered so that I can bring him closer, but realistically it won't happen for many years.
In the meantime, I'm going to find an instructor here with a solid lesson horse so I can work on my riding. I've been armchair quarterbacking my position, hands and pretty much the whole thing since I got off him. Thanks for saying I look awesome! I think I did a fair job of just being quiet up there. I got those last couple of whoa's with a deep breath and a whisper, so I was proud of those.
And yeah, the bugling is hilarious. I wish I had told Jason to grab one of our phones for a video. Next time I'll get one. I mean, you'd have thought I'd cut his leg off and left it behind he was so upset.
