Sweetwater Creek State Park

the highlight of the trip was reuniting Mimosa, a lost doberman, with her owner's boyfriend. he was understandably frantic at the thought of going home with an empty leash. he also freely admitted his stupidity in bringing her when he didn't have her collar - he had threaded the end of the leash through the wrist handle to make a loop. she saw something she didn't like, and backed right out of it.

but all ended well and I got to spend a lovely 10 minutes with a gorgeous girl. he also had a japanese mastiff with him. big, block headed girl. sweetheart, but you could tell she was all brawn, no brains. hee.

yeah. the mushrooms came out super nice. the other one is an oldie, but goodie. it's from Fort King George - I went there about two years ago?

I'm setting up another trip to some southern parks for later this year, and I hope to get some good pics from the Okefenokee swamp!

I am always in awe how gentle and spiritual ungulates (sp?) manage to look.

Even if they're mostly thinking about running away or eating your hair.

he is very pretty. one of the nicer display deer I've seen in the system. most of them, you can tell something's off... the display animals in the parks were all found, so some were hit by cars, etc. they do wonders with taxidermy, but not everything can be put to rights.
