I started watching Avatar on Nick toons or some such channel late one night last week. I didn't think I would like it, since that's not the type of animation I really enjoy, but I got sucked in by the story. Thankfully Netflix has the first set on instant play. I started DVRing episodes from TV, but realized I would have a hard time putting them in order so I just put the other however many disks into my queue. Now I'm all excited about the movie.

(Thought that just popped into my head: Hmmm. I wonder if they have Bubblegum Crisis in the play now Netflix thing? I watched it ages ago and loved it.)

There are probably a ton of other things like Avatar that I should be watching or reading but either don't know about or don't think I would like. I'm open to suggestions.

Also, this week's Eureka. WTH? What's up with the recap montage episode? Was she really pregnant and they ran out of time to film a whole episode so they just threw this together? I feel cheated.

Ha - the icon completely threw me for a loop!

I do love Eureka, but recap shows are pretty crappy. We had the same reaction... a big letdown, and now it's two weeks until a new one! I don't think there was any particular reason, just that every show seems to do a stupid recap show once and awhile, like the writers need a break. And the way this one was tied together seemed okay at first, but the more I think about it the cheesier it becomes... :( Oh, Eureka, how you've let me down.

No, I don't mind at all - it just confused me for a moment when I saw it on my f-page and all I could think was 'I didn't post anything anywhere recently...' ;)

It's flattery that I made something good enough that other people like it!

I know! It's very strange, though at least they are playing other characters and not trying to ram actually Eureka characters into the show. I wonder if it's more of a 'hey we need a character, you, yeah, you, just standing there waiting to tape your show? Want an extra part?'

Warehouse 13 is starting to grow on me. I admit I was put off by the very 'Librarian' feel to it at first, but I'm warming to the characters.

If you haven't seen it already... http://anthony-bourdain-blog.travelchannel.com/read/for-parents-only You might enjoy it. I commented suggesting he get Muzzy for his kid, which my friends Nina & Tim got for their guy (almost 2 now) and he's been learning German from it. If I have kids, I'm buying it in all available languages.

We just found out that Eureka hasn't been recording on our Comcast DVR for most of this season! We got the first two eps, but then there's a month-long gap at least, and we have the most recent ep. And our On Demand only goes back like 3 eps. :(

I will ask husband to look (he watches it more than I do), but he has a "thing" about watching TV on his computers. However, maybe he can do that while he's fishing on the desktop - laptop open with Eureka! *goes to look at Hulu*

Aaaand Hulu has only the last 4 eps. Fail. :(

Okay, now I see the problem. Season 3 was split. The most recent stuff began with Episode 9 of Season 3. So we may not be as hosed as we thought (but I think we're still missing Ep 11).

Haha, no, that's from an HBO series called Carnivale. Really good, extremely freaky. The main character wrote that in his blood near the end of Season 1 (it only lasted 2 seasons). Hard to describe what was going on at the time, but it was about an epic battle of good vs. evil played out in the Great Depression. With bonus Clancy Brown as a preacher!
