After crawling out of his crib Friday night giving me nightmares of him falling and breaking his neck, I put the toddler rails on Jake's bed yesterday. He ended up sleeping with me last night. I couldn't keep him in the bed. I hope he gets over the newness of it quickly. I think the medicine he took last night had him a bit wired too. I'll try giving it to him earlier tonight.

We also drastically cut back the wall O boxwoods in front of the house. I'd have liked them to go even lower, but Jason was pooped so he stopped. Then Dad called and said some cows had gotten out and he thinks there's a tree down so he needed the chainsaw back. Still it looks much better.

Had quite a scare with Tiger yesterday morning. Jason said that he couldn't walk when he took him out in the morning. He wasn't using one of his back legs properly, and was pretty much walking on his nails. By the afternoon he was fine so I guess it was asleep or something. Still, it pointed out just how little time we have left with him. He hasn't been doing all that great lately, and I know it won't be long before we have to make the hard decision. I want to get new pictures of all the furkids, but I'm waiting on the new-to-me camera*. Which I am OMG EXCITED about.

I have a $50 amazon gift certificate from Mypoints.com and I can't decide whether to buy the Farscape megaset or a lens for my new-to-me camera. I also have an email from Blizzard sitting in my inbox for a free 10 days of WotLK and I can't decide whether to use it or just wait for Cataclysm to come out.

*I'm getting [livejournal.com profile] ameryn's Canon 20d since she's upgraded to the 50d. *SQUEE* Expect an annoying amount of photos after it gets here.

Yeah, I suspect that when I finally have to put the toddler rail on Mia's crib I will just have to remove everything from her room, have drawer locks on the dresser drawers (or she'll pull everything out) and tie the knobs on her closet together to keep her out of there too. And then just close the door.

I have a friend who's daughter ended up falling asleep on her bedroom floor for a few nights, and they just went in after she was solidly asleep and transferred her to the bed so she'd wake up in it

Adam managed to scale out of his crib fairly early on. From then on we have had early morning visits to our room, but they do tend to stay in the bed better as time goes on. Best of luck with Jake! *hugs*
